Plein Air Painting - Oils (Utah County)
July 19th / 7:30-10:30 am MST.
This workshop will be held in person, in Utah County. It will be a “Plein Air” workshop meaning, weather permitting, we will be PAINTING OUTSIDE together. This is my VERY favorite experience as an artist and I am so excited to share it with each of you.
Students will be able to share what they are working on throughout the time slot and ask questions through the process. All Painting supplies will be provided, so all you need to bring is yourself + something to sit on!
S o m e D e t a i l s a b o u t t h e s t r u c t u r e o f t h e W o r k s h o p:
We will spend the first half talking about different techniques and how to apply them - things like various forms of paint application, palette knife approaches, glazes, color mixing, under paintings and composition. We will also look briefly at masters paintings to get an idea of each method and it’s results.
The last half will include a demo and be spent working on your very own paintinga - incorporating the things that we learned during the workshop. Plus, you will take this painting home - yay!
*Please bring an old shoe box, amazon box or cereal box (etc.) to safely transfer your painting home.
This workshop will have limited seats to ensure everyone gets personal feedback and instruction.
This class is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about oils, my process or wanting a little extra practice.
Upon registration - you will receive a document that will have all the details of the class as well as the address for the day of the workshop - should the weather be rainy. Otherwise I will send you a location a week before the workshop where we will meet! :)
